Top 10 video game marketing agencies in 2026

Choosing a marketing partner for a game is not a matter of finding the biggest agency. It is a matter of matching the agency's actual craft to the part of your launch that is hardest. This guide covers ten agencies working in games today, what each is genuinely good at, and who each one suits.

Disclosure: this guide is published by TAKEOFF Gaming, one of the agencies listed. We have tried to describe the others as we would want ours described, by discipline and fit, not by ranking. Every agency below is linked so you can judge the work yourself.

How to read this list

Game marketing splits into disciplines that rarely live in the same building: performance and user acquisition, influencer and creator programmes, PR and media relations, trailers and video, and the physical side: collector builds, press kits, event presence. An agency that is excellent at one is often merely competent at the next.

So before shortlisting, name the hardest part of your launch. If it is scaling installs on a mobile free-to-play title, you want a performance shop with its own measurement stack. If it is getting a niche PC game noticed at all, you want PR with real journalist relationships. If it is making an announcement that photographs, you want a studio that can build objects. The ten below are grouped by that logic.

01
Content & custom gear

TAKEOFF Gaming

Montréal · London · Lyon · group-takeoff.com/gaming →

Video, art direction, social and custom hardware under one roof. The distinguishing piece is the workshop: one-off consoles, controllers, collector editions and influencer kits designed and fabricated in-house, then photographed in-house so the campaign has imagery the week the object is finished.

Best for launches where the announcement needs a physical object press and creators will photograph, and for teams who would rather brief one partner than coordinate a film crew, a fabricator and a photographer.

02
End-to-end scale

Keywords Studios

The largest services group in games, with a marketing division covering go-to-market strategy, trailers, community management, localisation and esports activation across dozens of offices. Scale is the product: one supplier can cover a worldwide simultaneous launch in many languages.

Best for AAA publishers running global launches who need breadth and procurement simplicity more than a single specialist craft.

03
Brand & entertainment

Ayzenberg Group

Los Angeles · ayzenberg.com ↗

One of the longest-standing agencies in the space, working the intersection of games and wider entertainment: brand campaigns, media planning, creator programmes and paid strategy, with the studio-adjacent instincts that come from being based in Los Angeles.

Best for publishers who need a full brand campaign rather than a channel tactic, and titles crossing into mainstream entertainment.

04
Performance & influencer

Zorka.Agency

Limassol · zorka.agency ↗

A games-only agency built around influencer marketing judged on performance rather than reach: creator sourcing at volume, UGC production, user acquisition and the analytics to attribute it. Their published work leans heavily mobile and cross-platform.

Best for free-to-play and mobile titles where the brief is installs and return on ad spend, not awareness.

05
Creator programmes

GameInfluencer

A gaming-only influencer agency with a strong European footprint and a long track record of matching creators to genre rather than to follower count, which is usually what separates a campaign that converts from one that merely trends.

Best for PC and console launches that need creator coverage in specific European markets and genres.

06
Data-led influencer

Cloutboost

Influencer campaigns run like a media buy: a large creator database, selection driven by audience data, and client-side reporting on what each activation returned. Their case work skews toward PC, Steam and strategy or RPG audiences.

Best for Steam launches and wishlist campaigns where you want creator spend defended with numbers.

07
PR & media relations

Fortyseven Communications

San Francisco · Los Angeles · fortyseven.com ↗

An established games and technology PR firm working announcement strategy, press tours, review programmes and event presence. PR of this kind is relationship work, and its value shows in whether the right journalist opens the email at all.

Best for titles whose success depends on editorial coverage and review scores rather than paid reach.

08
Indie & AA PR

Big Games Machine

United Kingdom · biggamesmachine.com ↗

A specialist PR shop working across B2C and the less crowded B2B side of games, covering PC, mobile, console, VR and crowdfunded titles. Useful when the budget will not stretch to a large agency retainer but the campaign still needs real press work.

Best for indie and AA studios, and games-industry suppliers who need to reach developers rather than players.

09
Esports & hardware

Heaven Media

United Kingdom · heavenmedia.com ↗

Creative and technical marketing services with deep roots in PC gaming, esports and the hardware ecosystem: the audience that buys components, peripherals and gaming laptops as much as it buys games.

Best for hardware and peripheral brands, and titles whose community lives in competitive PC play.

10
Esports production

Freaks 4U Gaming

Berlin · freaks4u.de ↗

A gaming and esports network combining agency work with its own media properties and broadcast production. When a campaign has to appear inside competitive gaming rather than alongside it, owning the production and the channels is a real advantage.

Best for esports activations, league sponsorships and campaigns built around live broadcast.

Frequently asked

What does a video game marketing agency actually do?

In practice, one or two of five things: paid acquisition, creator and influencer programmes, press and media relations, video and creative production, or physical production for press and events. Very few agencies do all five well, and the ones that claim to usually subcontract the rest.

How much does game marketing cost?

Specialist agencies typically start in the low tens of thousands for a defined project, and monthly retainers scale from there with media spend. The more useful question is what the deliverable is: a trailer, a creator programme and a collector build are three different budget shapes, and comparing agency day rates across them tells you nothing.

When should we bring an agency in?

Earlier than most teams do. Anything physical: a collector edition, an influencer kit, an event build: needs lead time for prototyping and shipping, and press tours are booked months ahead. A campaign briefed six weeks before launch is a campaign with most of its options already closed.

One agency or several?

Several specialists usually beat one generalist on quality, and lose on coordination. A workable middle ground is one partner who owns the creative and the assets, plus one performance or PR specialist for the channel that matters most to your title.

Tell us the hardest part of your launch.

If it is video, an object, or the art direction that holds them together, that is our work. If it is paid acquisition at scale, we will say so and point you at one of the agencies above. Either answer takes one conversation.
